Christmas Show

Jaron was in his first Christmas Show at church on Sunday. It was caaled "Miracle on Main Street". He did such a good job singing and he was also a wiseman.

Making the Christmas Cookies

Jaron and Mik had a great time making the Christmas cookies. Marcey, on the other hand, was happy just dancing around the kitchen on a sugar high!

Jaron's Birthday

We can't believe it!!! Jaron's already 6 years old. He decided instead of a party, that he wanted to go to the hockey game. We saw the Columbia Inferno take on the South Carolina Stingrays. Sadly our team lost, but both Jaron and Mik got pucks and had a great time!!!!

Mickey Too Tall

Everyone's been asking how tall Mikayla is getting these days...so here she is

...of course, we had to make Trevor stand up straight!

Santa's lap

On Saturday, we also went to see Santa...Jaron was thrilled...Mikayla was of course not going to sit on Santa's lap. She's 13 and Santa is just not COOL anymore when you're 13. Marcey wouldn't go within 50 feet of Santa! I told Santa that we didn't mind if she cried in the photo. But, he couldn't keep a grip on her. She decided that she was not sitting with him and that was final. So...Jaron hopped right up and spouted off a list of what he would like for Christmas and smiled for the picture and that was that.

Deck the Halls

We spent the rest of Saturday afternoon doing our Christmas decorating. Trevor on the roof and me with the tree. Everything was running smoothly until, Jaron came in and announced that Daddy was letting him climb the ladder to the roof. It turns out, he was a very efficient little assistant. I worked on the tree until the kids decided to help me hang the candy canes. Of course, Jaron had to hang his from his ears and Marcey wanted to put hers on the tree...but only for a second. She'd go and grab it right back. Mikayla decided to sit back and watch all of the fun.

Christmas Parade

On Saturday, we went to 53rd Annual Carolina Carillon Parade in downtown Columbia. It was a chilly 55 degrees. We can hardly believe that we were actually cold! The kids had a great time. There were lots of marching bands and neat floats. We thought that Marcey might be afraind of all of the loud noises. But, she kept trying to run out and join them.

When Jaron saw this truck, he decided he wanted it for Christmas.

The Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast

Each family from Jaron's class decorated a feather for the Thanksgiving Turkey.

The kindergarten classes at Jaron's school had their annual Thanksgiving feast. The kids made pilgrim and indian costumes to wear to the feast. All of the parents prepared and brought in the food. Everyone had a great time.

Hair we go again

Mikayla takes great pleasure in trying to make her little sister and brother look as ridiculous as possible. Today, Marcey fell victim to the hair styling of the BIG SISTER.

Cocky comes to school

Last Friday, the University of South Carolina Gamecock came to visit Jaron's school. His name is Cocky. The kids all put on the USC spirit wear and had a ball dancing around with the big red chicken- looking thing.

To be in a marching band

Last Friday, Mikayla along with the rest of the middle school band was invited to perform with the Blythewood High School Marching Band. (she will attend BHS next year) As Blythewood HS is a new school, this was the football team's first ever playoff game. They won 84-41!!! She had a great time with the band. We are excited to see if she will be wearing the blue and white feather hat next fall!!!

Marcey's first trick -or- treat

Happy Halloween!!!

We took a couple of pictures on the way out the door for trick -or- treating. Marcey was a ballerina. Jaron picked a pirate costume this year and at the last minute wanted to be Buzz again. Trevor, the lumberjack, got to dress up for work this year.

Marcey's Camo

Daddy's little hunting buddy. Does this kid look like she came from Montana or what????

Jaron's Tooth

Jaron lost his first tooth last night. He didn't even cry. He was so excited to leave it under his pillow for the tooth fairy!

Jaron's Pumkin

Jaron's class had a pumkin decorating contest. The only rule was that you could not carve the pumkin. We came up with the breakfast sampler.
