More Halloween

We have a husband and wife photography team at our church. You never see the Dodsons without their camera. They snapped these photos during the Fall Festival. I thought they should be here on the blog.

Veteran's Day

Jaron's was so excited to see his dad at school on Veteran's Day! The school sent home an invitation for families with service members to come and have a special lunch with their student. We didn't tell Jaron that Trevor would be coming. He got all dressed up in his "Blues" and surprised Jaron at lunch time.

Me and Ya Ya

Marcey sure does love her big sis! We're not sure if she can say Mikayla because she always just calls her Ya Ya. But she lights up whenever Ya Ya comes into the room!

Halloween 2007

Marcey and Jaron were so excited to play dress up in there costumes this year. Of course big sister Mikayla is way too cool for the costume bit these days.

Junie B. Jones & A Little Monkey Business

On Saturday, the Columbia Children's Theatre kicked off the 2007-2008 season with their production on "Junie B. Jones And A Little Monkey Business". Since Jaron and Madison have been reading these books at school, Stacy and I decided to take the BIG kids for an afternoon of time with mom. We had a great time at the show. Junie B. is one funny five year old. After the play, Madison and Jaron got to have their pictures taken with the cast and up on the stage! What a great afternoon!!!

The BIG Girl Bed

On our last trip to visit the sweet Worms family in DC, they gave us a toddler bed that their little Ryan would have nothing to do with. Well, it took about two seconds for Marcey to jump right in it and make herself all cozy! She absolutely loves her big girl bed!

Daddy does the MUD RUN

Trevor and a team form work participated in the Marine Corps's Mud Run on Saturday. (9/22/07). It's an annual event. The course is 4.2 miles and when they call it a mud run...Well, they're not kidding. It's 4.2 miles of mud...all the way! They even tape their shoes on to keep them from coming off because the mud is so deep! Their team finished third in the military division and 23rd overall out of almost 700 teams. Pretty awesome for a first timer!

The four CLEAN runners before the festivities begin

And...They're OFF!!!

We took the camera and waited by the giant "PIT" so we could get good pictures of the guys doing the over / under obstacle. Marcey was less than thrilled to be waiting. This part of the race came after they had already run about 3 1/2 miles. There's no way I'd make it over those slimy, wet phone poles!!!

Yep...That's Trevor going for a dunk in the stanky mud!

Mikayla's big night on the field

We were so excited to see all of Mikayla's hard work Pay off! After weeks of practices in triple digit temperatures, the Marching Band performed at the first Blyhtewood High football game of the season. They were AWESOME!!! They rocked the stands during the entire game. They took the field at half time and put on a great show! We had a blast! The football was pretty exciting too! Our team won 38 to 7!
