Mikayla's exciting summer

Mikayla is spending her summer doing what teenagers love to do. It's noon and she's sleeping quite soundly. Marcey and Jaron gave her a wake up call and she snoozes right on through it. Marching band season is rapidly approaching and those ten hour days out on the blacktop will put an end to her hibernation.

Daddy's playing ball

Daddy's on the softball field again this summer. We all love to go and cheer him on and have a few laughs usually. Marcey is her daddy's number one fan. Mikayla made a poster for her to hold up at the games. Whenever it's Trevor's turn to bat, there's Lu, prancing up and down behind home plate with her "Go Daddy" sign. The crowd gets a kick out of it and Trevor gets teased a little by the tough guys on the team. At last night's game...Marcey decided to take along her baby. She was busy feeding and changing her all during the game.

Our summer art project

We visited The Art Elements studio with our friends for a little summer fun. Marcey and Jaron got to make their own stepping stones for the yard. It was HOT and we were baking in the morning sun...But, we still had a great time. The kids were all fascinated with the mixing of the concrete. They enjoyed digging around in it even more!

Okay...There's no real reason for this post, other than Marcey looked so cute in her shades.

Field Day 2008

~May 30, 2008~

Jaron's school is having field day. Marcey Lu and I tagged along to all of the different stations with him. The kids in his class were so sweet to let Lu have a turn at the games too. We stayed for lunch and then hit the road before the afternoon WATER activities began.
