Fishing

Trevor and Jaron went to Fort Jackson and did some fishing. Jaron was ready to go, he was sporting his fishing vest. Jaron caught his first Largemouth Bass. It was 2 pounds of fun.

Frazzled 4th

What a fun 4th! We packed our picnic, chairs, bug spray and blankets. We headed on over to the field at Fort Jackson and set up camp for the evening. Our picnic dinner was great. The kids enjoyed playing in the grass and tossing their frisbees. We were just picking up the last of the paper plates when the order was given to evacuate the field and seek shelter. We were in for a 4th of July display that would really "LIGHT" up the sky compliments of mother nature. After waiting out a whopper of a thunderstorm in the van, the rain and lightening finally slowed down and the fireworks went up. We sat in the drizzle for 30 minutes watching a gorgeous fireworks show, mingled with a bit of lightening here and there. It was definitely a 4th we'll remember!
